The commit

How do you get people to commit earlier? How do you remove the procrastination? For most the deadline finally drives the decision, but there's always some who commit right away or much quicker. What makes those that make their decision to attend, sign-up, buy, etc. earlier than the deadline? How can we move more to make a decision earlier? Is it even possible?

I believe a lot of these questions can be solved in the words we use and the urgency we create when we ask customers to commit. I don't have all the answers here, but I believe if we put more thought into the words that are used we may be able to move people forward sooner and have less last minute commitments or inaction.
