Why we don't like talking in front of cameras

Why is it that universally we don't like to get in front of a camera and start talking? Why do we get nervous? Why does our heart race? Why do we forget what we know we want to say? Why is it that a camera can do these things to us?

It's the fight or flight response that's natural to all of us. It's how your body reacts when it perceives it's in danger. And the danger in front of the camera is really the fear of the unknown of what will happen when it goes out into the world.
